I just wanted to make a quick post about these guys. I’ve known of them for a while, but more recently have they become one of my favourite acts. Devon’s voice, especially on their newer tracks, is so emotive and full. And the lyrics are full as well— they just brim with powerful feelings. Gah. Matthew Otto’s clean backing and loops just add so many simple layers to their music. I dig the new stuff from Impersonator so much and I’m really looking forward to its release. Please, check them out if you haven’t already.

To be honest, I’ve never even heard of them. I kind of think that this is some kind of promo for them… They’re not well-known and I’ve never mentioned them in my blog so I can’t see where you’d expect me to know of them. I get that they’re local and stuff but I’m also not one to go to many punk/hardcore/whatever you want to call it shows.

You mention you take photos from "the barrier" - none of the venues I go to have one of those; would you please explain what that is exactly?

I just meant it as “from the front row” without saying “from the front row”. A barrier is like, what they have at First Avenue where there’s a metal gate of sorts between the crowd and the stage. Usually the space in between in used for a photo pit and for security guards.

Seeing as I’ve taken Spanish since pre-school, I’ve always wanted to find Spanish-language bands that I really like. I FINALLY FOUND ONE. Okay, it may not really involve words so it won’t help me with language development. BUT THEY’RE GOOD. AND FROM MEXICO.

EDIT: I think Lowers is like, a collective. Fonobisa and Error.Error are the bands I like.
